Belmond Caruso is perched right at the edge of it — and the pool terrace is genuinely one of those places that stops you mid-sentence. The sun comes up directly over the water in the morning, and in the late afternoon it drops behind the hills and everything goes soft and golden. Both are worth showing up for.
The restaurant is right there next to the pool. The pizzas are mouth watering and the drinks are even incredible. The attention to detail in everything, the food, the way it’s presented, the service, is the kind of thing you notice without being able to explain why. You just feel taken care of.
The gardens are immaculate — the kind that feel like someone genuinely cares about every single plant. Lush, well-kept, and fragrant in a way that hits you before you even see them. You can spend a good hour just walking through, completely lost in it, with the views of Ravello opening up between the hedges.
It’s one of those places that’s hard to leave.

Tips to know before going
Get to the pool right when it opens
Hardly anyone is there and the light is perfect. Early evening works just as well — the colors go warm and the crowd thins out. Either way, that’s your window.
Bring a polarizer
Cuts the glare off the water completely and makes the blues and greens look insane. Makes a huge difference here.
Try the pizza and the fresh juices
