The story
We almost didn't land the drone in time for golden hour
Villa Cetara sits on a stretch of cliff outside Positano that most boats pass without slowing down for — which is exactly why the light hits the pool the way it does at 6:40pm, with nobody else in frame.
The villa itself is small — nine rooms, no more than twenty guests at a time — which is part of why it doesn’t show up on the usual lists. Staff know your name by the second morning. Breakfast is whatever was caught that morning, served on the terrace whether you ask for it there or not.
The infinity edge isn't a trick of the camera — stand at the rail and the pool genuinely disappears into the sea.
We filmed for three days and didn’t run out of angles. That’s rare. Usually by day two you’re repeating yourself. Here, the light changes enough by the hour that it almost feels like a different villa each time.
